Advocacy GroupsAdvocacy Support Group

Many people have donated to an advocacy group at one time or another, or at least been asked to. Advocacy groups are organizations of people that are dedicated to rallying funding, support, and educating the people about a particular cause. Advocacy group causes can be anything from diabetes in children to cancer to Alzheimer's.

There are people everywhere who suffer from mental and physical illnesses, and there are always people passionate enough to want to find a direct way to help others. Advocacy groups take on one cause and do everything in their power to rally for and provide support for it.

If you know someone who suffers from some type of medical condition who may be in need of help, contact an advocacy group. They can help with patient care, assist people in finding resources for help, providing reading material or education on the subject, or just understanding and compassion for people who may think they are alone. They can be reached via internet, telephone, or by visiting any local offices that they may have around the country.
